Sabrina Willard - Doylestown Tribe Head Coach

SABRINA WILLARD, DOYLESTOWN HEAD COACH

How long have you been coaching Tribe? 
Since Season 4 of 2015, 44 seasons ago

What do you coach? 
Currently TribeFIT and TribeLIFE and I have also coached TribeCORE

What format is your personal favorite to participate in and why? 
TribeFIT is my favorite but over the years I realize the more I do TribeLIFE and TribeCORE, I welcome the change in formats and exercises.  I do have to say TribePUNCH is slowly becoming my favorite, I believe it hits some form of TribeFIT, TribeLIFE and TribeCORE all in one with the mental part of boxing for me. 

What is your personal favorite to coach and why?  
I love coaching!  Each format brings a different style of coaching out of me so I can’t really say that I have a favorite.

What does Tribe mean to you? 
Accountability, team, commitment, results and family! Of course it also means pushing myself to do things I wouldn’t and to get through a workout I didn’t think I could.

What is your favorite Tribe exercise? 
I can’t say that I only have one but if I must give only one it has to be chimps with or without the MB.

What is one of your best memories in Tribe, either participating or coaching? 
You know that look on someone’s face when they do something they never thought they could do?!  Over the years I have seen this face many times and it brings joy to my heart. Blood, sweat and tears over the years have all lead to some great memories and accomplishments for all.

MICHAEL STROUSE, NEW HOPE HEAD COACH

When did you become a Tribe Coach?
I was part of the team that launched the New Hope program in 2021.  

What do you coach?
I can coach TribeFIT or TribeLIFE

What format is your personal favorite to participate in and why?
TribeFIT really helps me find that zone where I can lose myself in the work and the sweat. There’s a little competition and a lot of fun but along the way, you can find what ‘personal best’ means to you!

What is your personal favorite to coach and why? 
As much as I love TribeFIT as a participant, as a coach, I am all about TribeLIFE! As a Wellness Coach, trainer, instructor and now, Coach, I always want fitness, good movement and a healthy lifestyle to be open and accessible to EVERYONE! That’s what TribeLIFE is about and I want to see more people joining that TRIBE!

What does Tribe mean to you?
As someone who personally knows the physical and mental demands of a large body composition change (I used to be over 350lbs), I know that change and improvement cannot happen alone. You need a village around you. I have been lucky to be surrounded by supportive friends and family and to work with health and fitness professionals, some now colleagues as well, in my journey. I love that as a Coach, I can be part of someone’s TRIBE and help them along the way!

ALEX AMBOLINO, DOYLESTOWN COACH

How long have you been coaching Tribe?
April of 2021, 2 seasons 

What do you coach?
TribeLIFE and TribeFIT

What format is your personal favorite to participate in and why?
TribeFIT is my personal favorite to participate in because the workouts push me in ways I never would doing my own workouts. 

What is your personal favorite to coach and why? 
TribeLIFE is my favorite to coach because of all of the new functional movements it has taught me that I now use with clients of all ages, and in my own workouts. 

What does Tribe mean to you?
Tribe is an ever-changing obstacle to me, in the best way possible. The movements and workout setups are different than how I would train on my own, and I enjoy the challenge. 

What is your favorite Tribe exercise?
Beetles 

What is one of your best memories in Tribe, either participating or coaching?
My best Tribe memory so far is assessment day of this past season. This was my first Tribe I coached on my own, and seeing them all significantly improve their scores from the first day of the season was very cool.

ALYSSA VIRGINIO, DOYLESTOWN COACH

How long have you been coaching Tribe?
I have been a Tribe coach for 2 1/2 years, around 18 seasons 

What do you coach?
I coach TribeCORE, TribeLIFE, and TribePUNCH.

What format is your personal favorite to participate in and why?
My favorite format to participate in would be TribePUNCH. This class is more than just a great workout, you get to learn a new skill! Each workout challenges me by learning new boxing moves and combos that help me build speed, power, and strength while having fun. 

What is your personal favorite to coach and why?  
My personal favorite class to coach is TribePUNCH. It is amazing to see each member's transition, both physically and mentally, throughout the season. Besides the physical benefits consisting of total body strength and endurance, you feel invincible when hitting the heavy bag or sparring with the coach! With every punch, empowerment and confidence washes over you and my members always walk out of our club with their heads held high. 

What does Tribe mean to you?
Tribe to me is more than just an exercise class. Throughout the season, my class members have become a true team and close friends. We all support and motivate one another to achieve our fitness goals and have fun while doing it. 

What is your favorite Tribe exercise?
My favorite Tribe exercise is the tire toss. Nothing screams POWER more than this fun and unique total-body exercise. It helps me build muscle and get my cardio work in at the same time - win- win!

What is one of your best memories in Tribe, either participating or coaching?
One of my best memories of Tribe was coaching a member who was just starting their weight loss journey. He was hesitant to join Tribe in the beginning because he felt uncomfortable with his body and intimidated by the new exercises. However, after just a few classes his opinion on Tribe was quickly changed. With the encouragement of his teammates and the friendships he had built, he returned for a couple more seasons. This client went on to lose a total of 60lbs!

How long have you been coaching Tribe?

What do you Coach?
TribePUNCH

What format is your personal favorite to participate in and why?
TribePUNCH is where I like to spend my time working on my boxing skills and challenge my fitness

What is your personal favorite to coach and why?
Working one on one with our boxers. I can see determination in their eyes to complete the boxing combination as it was taught. When they get it and the combo is performed correctly, you understand why Boxing is called “The Sweet Science”. Their sense of accomplishment is priceless.

What does Tribe mean to you?
I like to think that Tribe Punch epitomizes the saying“ Life begins at the end of your comfort zone”. When you have 3 minute rounds with little rest in between, you realize how far you can push your self to succeed.   

My favorite Tribe Exercise:
Side Plants, it combines Stretching with Balance

What is one of your best memories in Tribe, either participating or coaching?
Getting the actual Certification and the feeling of accomplishment that goes along with the entire process.

Gina Ranelli - New Hope Coach

GINA RANELLI, NEW HOPE COACH

When did you become a Tribe Coach?
I was part of the team that launched the New Hope program in 2021.  

What do you coach?
I can coach TribeFIT or TribeLIFE

What format is your personal favorite to participate in and why?
My personal favorite to participate in is TribeFit because it pushes my limits. I also like the competition portion of the workout. 

What is your personal favorite to coach and why? 
As a coach, I enjoy both because I am able to help clients meet their potential in either format.

What does Tribe mean to you?
Tribe means working together.  Everyone knows the importance of exercise but we don’t always want to do it.  Being part of the tribe keeps us connected and moving together.  It keeps us engaged and committed even when we don’t feel motivated.  Everyone needs a Tribe including the Coach.

How long have you been coaching Tribe? 
Since 2015, around 40 Seasons

What do you coach? 
I’ve coached TribeLIFE consistently since 2015, but I also currently coach TribeFIT. I’ve coached TribeCORE as well.

What format is your personal favorite to participate in and why? 
I love TribeFIT- a it combines both cardio and strength, has a lot of exercises I love, and challenges me in ways other workouts don’t.

What is your personal favorite to coach and why?  
Tough question! I enjoy coaching both TribeFIT and TribeLIFE for different reasons. Overall, I love seeing people accomplish things they think they can’t do.

What does Tribe mean to you? 
To me It means structured, proven workouts in a team environment with a lot camaraderie.

What is your favorite Tribe exercise? 
Just one? I like the hanging exercises- chin ups, knees to elbows and hanging climbers- because they make me feel strong.

What is one of your best memories in Tribe, either participating or coaching? 
The staff Tribe workouts we did in Warrington- it was so much fun to bring together staff from different departments- housekeeping, fitness, aquatics, service desk- to work out and have fun together. It definitely led to better working relationships because we got to know each other in a different way, we developed trust and respect for each other outside of work specific tasks.

MCKENNA KINGSBAUER, NEW HOPE COACH

When did you become a Tribe Coach?
I was part of the team that launched the New Hope program in 2021.  

What do you coach?
I can coach TribeFIT or TribeLIFE

What format is your personal favorite to participate in and why?
While TribeFIT  has the fun aspect of friendly competition, my personal favorite to participate in is TribeLIFE because while it is low impact, it is most definitely not low intensity. TribeLIFE leaves me feeling accomplished, energized, and excited for future classes.

What is your personal favorite to coach and why? 
My personal favorite to coach is TribeLIFE because so many different populations can see themselves participating.

What does Tribe mean to you?
Tribe means being seen. While everyone loves seeing their own accomplishments and growth, it’s even better when others notice too. Tribe produces a wonderfully supportive community where everyone cheers each other on, whether it’s in TribeFIT or TribeLIFE. Come find your tribe and let us cheer you on!

MORGAN FINK, DOYLESTOWN COACH

How long have you been coaching Tribe?
5.5 years, over 30 seasons

What do you coach?
I currently coach TribeCORE but have also coached both TribeFIT and TribeLIFE in the past.

What format is your personal favorite to participate in and why?
I personally love to participate in TribeCORE because it helps me strengthen my core muscles in new, fun ways. Having a strong core helps me to improve in all other areas of my training as well.  

What is your personal favorite to coach and why?  
I really enjoy coaching TribeCORE because it has a great balance of high intensity movements as well as slower, more controlled movements. It allows participants the chance to really push themselves during some workouts, and then slow down and focus more on stability and control during other formats. I think TribeCORE also helps open people’s eyes to the fact that training your core doesn’t have to be boring, or just involve doing a bunch of crunches.

What does Tribe mean to you?
Tribe is a family! You aren’t just signing up for 6 weeks of workouts when you join a Tribe. You are joining an amazing group of individuals who are all working towards unique goals. By the end of the 6 weeks, not only will your fitness level improve, but you will have made a lot of new friends who are there to cheer you on and support you through every workout! Who doesn’t want that?

What is your favorite Tribe exercise?
This is a tough one! But I think I would have to say that my favorite Tribe exercise is the Sus Pistol Extension. It is such an amazing full body strength movement that only requires a suspension trainer! Whenever I do these, I’m always sore the next day!

What is one of your best memories in Tribe, either participating or coaching?
Every season of Tribe is special to me! But I think every coach can agree that you will never forget your very first season that you coached. It was so amazing to see my team progress throughout the season and to build that relationship with each and every one of them.
