Spa and Fitness Father’s Day Gifts in Bucks County

Fathers Day Gift CertificateIt is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.  – Mahatma Gandhi

Every June, Americans spend time wracking their brains over what to get their fathers or husbands for Father’s Day …   Another tie? A bottle of wine or after-shave? How about a power tool? Fishing rod? CD? Funny t-shirt? Ugh!!!

I don’t know about your father or husband, but neither of mine are interested in more “stuff.” So, this year, why not consider giving a gift that is really valuable – the gift of good health.

According to the World Health Organization, good health is a “state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” A truly meaningful gift can help the men in our lives achieve this state of well-being.

Swim Lessons in Bucks County: Summertime Is Best for New Skills

One of the most common times that a parent signs up a child for swim lessons is right before the summer begins when they realize their children aren’t quite where they want them to be swim-level wise and they are worried about their safety.

Swim Lessons

While this is a completely legitimate concern to have and it’s a fantastic reason to register a child for swim lessons, it’s not realistic to hope that a child will become water-safe over the course of one set of lessons (especially if it’s the only time during the year that they are taking a lesson).

Cornerstone’s Health and Wellness Gifts for Mother’s Day

The groundwork of all happiness is good health. ~ James Leigh Hunt

When thinking of gifts for mom, usually the first things that pop to mind are flowers, jewelry and chocolate.  As a mom myself, I’ve always enjoyed receiving any of those things (especially chocolate!).  But, I don’t really need them. If I’m honest with myself, one thing I really do need is more time, especially time for myself.  Most moms are so busy working, managing a household and taking care of other people that they often don’t have much time left to take care of themselves.  This year, why not consider giving mom a gift that really matters – some time to focus on her own health and wellness.

Sitting Series – Part 3: Why Working Out to Offset Sitting Isn’t Enough
