I began attending Pilates mat classes after my youngest was born. During pregnancy, I had developed such a keen awareness of my body. Pilates and yoga helped me maintain that awareness and create a mind body connection. It seemed only natural to become certified and share Pilates with others. I will complete Anatomy of Yoga Ashtanga teacher training in April of 2012, in addition to continuing my education and training in Pilates.
As an instructor, I enjoy encouraging others to do their best, honor their body where it is today, and have fun.

Since my college education was in Science (Chemistry), I became interested in the Pilates method because of its attention to proper form and detail. I have found Pilates to be the most effective type of exercise that I have experienced, and want to share my passion with our members to help them achieve their goals.

I feel that an effective teacher influences the lives of her students. My goal has always been to make everyone comfortable, secure, have an enjoyable experience, and leave the class having learned something new. I love what I do, and continue to be motivated and inspired by every person who comes into a class, or a private session, with the desire to learn.

One of my favorite things about yoga is that it helps us reconnect to our bodies, which tell an amazing story. Eventually we realize how connected we are to other beings and to Mother Earth.
